Dan Lang, the son of circus performers, inherited the ability from his parents. In his first adventure, the Voice defeats El Zingaro after he captures three oil fields and four gold mines, meant to fund an army with which to invade the United States. The Voice also carries a pistol, which fires tranquilizer bullets. His full range of powers include super strength, super agility, vocal hypnotism, vocal mind control, ventriloquism, and other vocal tricks.
