Streak Chandler and Professor Finlay, along with Finlay’s daughter Vola, were originally taken captive by the Lokis, a race of birdmen. They became allies after Streak subdued the Brontauris, a Martian sea monster. The Lokis even gave Streak artificial wings to help them against threats such as the Gas-Men of Mars and the Space Pirate from Venus.
