Space Ace (Magazine Enterprises 3)

Sci-fi hero Major Inapak, named after a vitamin packet to stir into water, was an adventurer in the 1980s. The Earth of his time was divided in two, East and West, locked in perpetual atomic warfare. The planet was orbited by satellites equipped with nuclear warheads, and powerful satellite dishes that could pick up the faintest sounds even from the Moon. When the city of Denver is wiped off the map in a mysterious flash, Major Inapak heads off in his rocket ship to see who caused the destruction. Inapak learns Roxtyl, leader of the planet Lunrak, was the instigator, in an opening salvo to destroy the Earth. Inapak fights off Roxtyl’s henchmen, and then takes out their leader.
