Icarion, the “Child of the Sun,” was a winged hero who wore no mask and had winged shoes like Mercury. He was strong enough to carry a man above his head and could fly. He was most likely inspired by Icarus. Icarion was only featured in an ad for his feature set to debut in the second issue of Colossus Comics, which was never released.
