Guerrilla Girl was a 17-year-old Russian girl, who was the daughter of the captain of a village’s guerrilla force. When her father went off to fight, Vera stayed behind to look after her family, but the village was ransacked and the family was captured by Nazis. Vera tried to free them, but was captured herself. She refused to answer questions about her father and the guerrilla fighters, and eventually managed to escape. However, in doing so, she was shot in the leg. When the guerrillas found her, she was flown to a Russian hospital, but she planned to return to aid her fellow guerrillas in the fighting. She also planned to marry the pilot who saved her on her 18th birthday.
