The Eye was a German agent who came into conflict with the Blue Beetle, when he used his power of hypnotism to incite a rash of violent crimes in the United States. The Eye’s right eye was unusually large and bulged out of his head. It allowed him to generate a “supernatural glow” which would allow him to influence the behavior of others, even if they could not see the glow. He was powerful enough to elevate emotions and make ordinary citizens commit murder and other violent crimes. The Eye was more than happy to commit violence himself and was a reasonably dangerous opponent.
