He uses his cloak and backwards-recited magic to fight criminals and evildoers, assisted by the lovely Gladys. His nemesis was Olbaid (“Diablo” spelled bacwards0. In his final appearance, El Carim aided Balbo the Boy Magician and his father. Balbo took over El Carim’s spot in Master Comics from that point onward.
