Harry Parrish was a circus owner who ran his business into debt with his own greed. When he was denied a loan to save the circus, he vowed revenge and became the Black Clown. He was eventually brought to justice by Mr. Scarlet. Later, The Black Clown was broken out of “El Catraz” Penitentiary by The Brain and recruited to join the Death Battalion. He failed to assassinate the target given to him by the Brain, but did manage to escape from Mr. Scarlet again. Although the Death Battalion was defeated by Mr. Scarlet and his sidekick Pinky, The Black Clown seems to have escaped their raid of the lair. The Black Clown was a talented and daring acrobat who planned his escapes in advanced. He was aided by several circus performers, a python trained to squeeze people to death, and an ape named Garganta. He also carried conventional weapons such as guns and knives.
