A desperate, starving man goes to the bank to pass a forged check. He overhears the VP of the bank telling the guards that the vault has been closed by accident, and that it contains papers needed to close a multi-million dollar deal. The would-be criminal considers this a “chance to prove my strange genius and be rewarded for it!”, offering to open it for them. Soon he has it open, but the banker thanks him with no reward, due to his disheveled appearance. He decides, then and there, to no longer live a straight and narrow life. He sends riddles to the Black Terror and Tim, challenging them to solve his crimes and catch him. Which, after a few close calls, the Terrors do. The Puzzler also seems to have penchant for bad puns.
