Mr. Death was a mass murderer who killed about 150 people for no apparent reason by just walking up and shooting them. However, he was none too bright, as news reporter Gail Blanch and Mystery Man easily lead him into a trap. Blanch wrote an article claiming that Mystery Man would capture Mr. Death, and described the villain as a “huge, powerfully-built man.” Mr. Death contacted Miss Blanch to correct her description of him, which turned out to be Mystery Man’s plan, to lure him out into the open by using Blanch as a decoy. Interestingly, Mr. Death is called a doctor in the artwork, but is not called one within the text story.
