Hatahiro is a type of yōkai depicted in the Konjaku Hyakki Shūi by Toriyama Sekien. This particular creature relates to a grudge which says: A woman’s husband left her and so she abandoned her loom. The grudge transformed her intro a great serpent twenty spans long and she quested to find the one who left her.
