Ambrose Bell was a wealthy art collector who hatched a scheme to increase the value of the artwork of a street artist named Fraser. He kidnapped Fraser, holding him hostage, and forced him to create more works of art. Bell made it appear as if Fraser had died, giving to his “benefactor” Bell his collected works. Sandra Knight, the real identity of Phantom Lady, was witness to the abduction, and soon tracked the missing artist when she spotted his work on the wall of Bell’s estate.
