A space prospector finds a remarkable metal on a devastated space-mining ship. The prospector dubs the metal asteroidium. The World Council studies the metal, discovering it is mined from one of Saturn’s moons. The race is on to be the first corporation to reach the planet where the ore awaits. Larry Winters, the founder of Planetary Metals, matches wits with the unscrupulous Vincent Cartley, who will stop at nothing to win the prize for his own Intersol Lines corporation. Unbeknownst to Cartley, his own daughter Margo Cartley is in love with Winters and travels with him. Cartley makes several attempts to kill Winters with the help of his henchmen Wagner and Xartal, not knowing he is endangering his own daughter. When aliens intercede, however, Cartley sacrifices his own life to save his daughter and Winters.
