“Introducing a happy-go-lucky trio, whose skillful use of makeup at a moment’s notice to change to any character they require. The Unholy Three against crime!” The Unholy 3 were a group consisting of Dale, Pearl, and Flash. They were masters of disguise, solving crimes by going undercover. In their first outing, a Baron Gram was a guest of the rich Mr. and Mrs. Hudson, during a string of jewel robberies. Flash dressed as a chauffeur, Pearl as a housekeeper, and Dale as the child “little Percy,” infiltrating the household to keep an eye on the suspicious Baron. Flash overhears that the Baron’s real name is Breen, a notorious jewel thief, who plans for his thugs to rough up Mr. Hudson for the combination to a safe. Flash intentionally drops soup on the Baron. The Baron visits Percy’s room, where Dale socks Breen in the jaw. Dale locks the Hudson’s in a room for their safety. Pearl and Flash observe Breen’s thugs approaching, so they quickly disguise themselves as the Hudsons. In the ensuing fight, Pearl and Flash are overcome. Breen threatens to kill Mrs. Hudson/Pearl. Dale comes to the rescue, squirting hot water in Breen’s face, blinding him temporarily. The trio handily take out the group of thieves. In the aftermath, Mr. Hudson says they should be called the “Holy” Three.
