Westly the Undertaker made a bet with several friends that he could outlive them all. He put up his personal fortune against the various businesses of the others. Nine days later Westly dies. Each of his friends attempts to collect on the bet, but Westly’s faceless corpse begins murdering them one by one. Each time the victim sees his own face reflected back at him, where Westly’s face should be. This attracts the attentions of Nightmare and Sleepy. As Nightmare battles the corpse, the sight of his own masked face distracts him, allowing the corpse to escape. Nightmare and Sleepy track down the corpse and catch him just before he murders another of the betters. Nightmare delivers a powerful punch and discovers the corpse is wearing a mirrored mask. Westly confesses that two days after the bet, he was diagnosed with a fatal blood disease that would kill him in ten days. Jealous that his friends would outlive him, he decided to fake his own death and kill the others before he died. Westly passed away seconds after the confession.
