Lynn Thomas became Tygra, the leader of the Fire People, after her plane crashed in the Fire People’s territory and they recognized her as “The Tawny One,” their god-sent leader. She gained superhuman strength after drinking an experimental drug that she had been trying to deliver to the Fire People as a cure for a plague that had stricken them.
