Toby is the pet cat of Linda Turner, a.k.a. the Black Cat. In Toby’s initial appearance, she displayed an antagonistic dislike for Garboil, Linda’s director on her films. Toby was a black, female Siamese in Black Cat #8 and 10. In Speed Comics #27, artist Bob Powell drew Toby as a white, male Angora who wears a costume of black fur during its adventure with Black Cat.
