After young David Merryweather loses his parents in the Burmese jungles, a female tiger finds him and treats him like one of her cubs. She teaches him the ways of the jungle and gifts him with all the abilities of the cat family. Once David reaches manhood, he saves one of his tiger brothers. As a gesture of gratitude, the tigress takes David to human civilization so he can be with his own people, and where he becomes the hero Cat-Man.
