Steve Raymond

In the 23rd century, lean, green-eyed space adventurer Steve Raymond, ace investigator of the Interspace Intelligence Service, travels with his boss, Inspector Nick Scott, to Mars, to run down the notorious jewel thief Vulture. Scott asks Raymond about the heavy gold ring with two snakes writhing about a blood-red ruby he wore. Raymond says he and his brother got identical rings from their father for good luck, although his brother’s luck turned bad when he disappeared eight years ago. On Mars, Raymond tracks the Vulture to his damaged ship. During a fight, Raymond gets the upperhand when a dust cloud interrupts them.
