On an archaeological dig on Crete with Dr. Craig, Doctor John Thesson finds the ring of Poseidon in the Maze of Midas. Procustous, a wealthy man who lived nearby, kills two Americans trying to end the excavation. Thesson stops Procustous and retrieves the ring of Poseidon. Thesson reveals himself as the reincarnation of Theseus, slayer of the Minotaur and “last son of the gods”. The ring gives Thesson super powers, such as super strength, the ability to leap great distances, and super human endurance. Thesson is permanently awarded the ring and uses it to fight crime as Thesson, Son of the Gods.
