Sarge Steel

Sarge Steel was originally a private eye and Vietnam veteran who lost his hand during a fight with drug lords. His left hand was replaced with a new metal one. Many of Sarge’s cases involved espionage, and he later became a secret agent and even the CIA contact for the Sentinels. Sarge Steel fought enemies such as Werner Von Wess, the Lynx, Smiling Skull, Ivan Chung, and Mr. Ize among others. Notes: First detective or spy in any medium of fiction to be a Vietnam veteran. Like many Charlton Characters such as Tyro Team, Shape, and Spookman, Sarge Steel is in the public domain thanks to a lack of a proper copyright notice. This is because any work published without a proper copyright notice between 1923 and 1977 are in the public domain.
