Sandra Worth

In the modern day, Sandra Worth meets archaeologist Geoffrey Garth at a party. Geoffrey notices the ring Sandra is wearing, and inquires on how she acquired it. Sandra explains that the ring had been handed down in her family for generations. Geoffrey says it is actually one of the mystical rings of Zubran, from the kingdom of Ormuz. Geoffrey had found an identical ring during an expedition, and was looking for its double. The rings purportedly allow its possessor to view the past. Geoffrey and Sandra decide to test the rings by reading an incantation from an ancient scroll, which reveals the distant past, and the life of Malu the Slave Girl and her protector Garth, to the pair.
