Roy Carter was formerly an orphaned shoeshine boy, but he was taken in by Blaine Whitney, secretly the crime fighter the Wizard. The Wizard saw potential in the boy and trained him as his sidekick. Roy became Roy the Super-Boy. He later formed the Boy Buddies, a team with fellow sidekick Dusty the Boy Detective. Roy had no powers.
