Ranger Girl was Gloria Travers, a Miss America 1941 title-holder turned WAAC-pilot. While she assisted the Rangers of Freedom beginning with their first appearance, she did not join the group until their third. She was always the damsel-in-distress, captured by the Super-Brain. When the Rangers were sent overseas to help the U.S. Rangers, she stayed behind and did her part on the homefront.
