Scientist Mark Dane is angered when his fiance, Wendy Travis, and his co-worker, Ralph Richards, beseech him to stop his mad experiments, which consist of placing an electronic brain in a bulldozer. Dane hits Travis. Richards defends her. The two leave Dane to his own designs. Dane tells the Steel Monster to knock over Travis’ house, where Richards is helping her gather her things. Richards and Travis escape, fleeing in a dumptruck. The bulldozer follows. When they reach a dead end at a cliff, they jump from the truck. The Steel Monster destroys the truck. Travis and Richards scale a tall concrete structure. Dane watches as the bulldozer builds a mound of dirt to ascend the concrete wall. Richards swings down to a power station on exposed power cables and powers up the station. Dane goads the Steel Monster on as it is electrocuted. The Steel Monster turns its attention to its creator, pushing Dane and itself off the cliff.
