The Phoenix was a mad man with dreams of world conquest. He used slaves to create artificial jewels in a factory at the base of a volcano. The slaves were guarded by the local “Jewel Men” tribe, who considered The Phoenix a god. The Phoenix then had his gang in New York sell the jewels all over the world to finance his operations. When Lash (a.k.a. Flash) Lightning put an end to his operation, the Phoenix attempted to bomb him with a fighter plane. Unfortunately, his plane was shot down by Lightning and went down over the volcano. However, the Phoenix shall surely rise from the ashes.
