Octopus (Fox)

The three-armed gangster Octopus sought to completely control the city’s racketeers, and set out to eliminate all of his rivals. One of these rival gang leaders was Linda Dale’s Uncle John. After serving his time in jail, Uncle John tried to start a new life with his niece, crime-free. Dale asked Gary Preston to help protect them as the Flame, but the Octopus lured him into a trap. Using a reflector ray, Octopus nearly killed the Flame. Before their encounter, the Flame had instructed Dale to ingest the same chemical formula that imbued him with his powers. She transformed into Flame Girl and rescued him, and they ended up confronting the villain together, who died in an explosion.
