Octeel

The Octeel, part electric eel and part octopus, is a native of the planet Genero. The Grand Vizier Mago insists that sacrifices are necessary to appease the Octeel and keep King Gaarlo’s kingdom safe. When Dr. Mark Savant, Ventro, and Mona visit Genero to question the human sacrifices, Mago has Mona kidnapped and taken to the Octeel’s caverns. Savant follows. In the caverns, he fires his “electro-gun” at the Octeel, but the Octeel is unaffected. Savant and Mona retreat. Mago sees the Astro II taking off and thinks the intruders have left. In the cavern, the Octeel kills Mago. During the distraction, Savant uses a harpoon device attached to a cable with a negative charge and impales the Octeel, “shorting” it out.
