Master of the Black World

While investigating reports of a giant bird in Skull Valley, a black flying saucer uses a suction device to collect Sheriff Townley and Hank Roper. The pair are sent to the very small world of Nux. Anzo, Master of the Black World, tells them they were collected as specimens. When Hank discovers his six-guns are ineffectual in Nux’s atmosphere, the pair go along with their captors. Anzo explains that Nux is invisible to Earth’s astronomers because the world is black. He allows Roper to use a Nuxian telescope to look at Earth. Roper sees a group of Army tanks on maneuvers, and suggests to Anzo that they would also be good specimens. The black flying saucers retrieve the entire group of tanks and equipment. On Nux, the firepower of the Army tanks is not diminished, and the Nuxian invaders are quickly defeated. Roper directs the Army personnel and its tanks into a cave on Nux. Nux crashes in Skull Valley. Roper notes to Townley that, “We brought back the whole black world as a specimen, Sheriff!” To which Sheriff Townley replies, “Yeah, Hank, and it looks like the biggest skull that ever did land in Skull Valley!”
