Martin Hall was a scientist determined to solve the mystery of cosmic rays. After years of failure, he finally captured the rays, but with disastrous results. Overwhelmed by cosmic energy, Martin evolved. His body shrank while his mind grew. He shut off the equipment just before he evolved into nothing more than a giant brain. With his body no longer able to support his gigantic head, Martin built a robotic suit to support himself. Marto was drawn to the Green Sorceress’ active mind in the subterranean kingdom of Voltor. He teleported himself there, and pledged his loyalty to her. He managed to capture Blue Bolt. He planned to switch bodies with Blue Bolt, to win the heart of the Green Sorceress and father a master race capable of conquering the Earth. He was waylaid by the timely arrival of the Blue Army of Deltos, who bombed the complex and trapped him under rubble. leaving him incapacitated and possibly dead.
