Macro was born in the little town of Squankum. As a boy he was ridiculed by children for his gigantism, and as an adult joined the circus when he was otherwise unable to find a job. He was recruited as a henchman by Hiram Suggs, who plotted to become the next (crooked) mayor of the town. At Suggs’ orders Macro kidnapped the current Mayor and the Sheriff, and poisoned Billy Batson when he got too close to the truth. But after a fight between Macro and Captain Marvel, Suggs’ true intentions were uncovered, he was brought to justice, and Macro’s criminal deeds were forgiven.
