Mad Nazi scientist Demenscha, working in secret in America on orders from Adolf Hitler, creates pure lightning in the form of a man, “a creature of terror… nature perverted to a will of evil!” With Lightning Man at his side, Demenscha plans to rule with “Super Nazism”. When The Fighting Yank and Joan Farwell investigate the destruction of a munitions plant by lightning, the Lightning Man attacks. In due course, both the Fighting Yank and Joan are killed, but they are resurrected. The Lightning Man disappears from the story. Taken hostage by the Nazis, Joan turns herself into a Lightning Woman, to help the Fighting Yank defeat the Nazi scientist and saboteurs who plan on making an army of Lightning Men.
