Lance Gregg is a crack space pilot and officer with the Inter-Planetary Security Police. Following his fourth crash, Gregg has his license revoked by his employer, Walters, until he reforms. Telling his fiance, Thura, of the incident, the couple break up. Thura returns the ring Gregg gave her. Gregg becomes a space tramp, hanging around space ports. Major Malo approaches Gregg at one of these establishments and offers him a job smuggling cargo. Gregg wonders why Malo wants a delivery to the planet Corso, a known location for space pirates. One of the boxes is dropped, revealing the cargo to be “shock ray guns”. Gregg refuses to deliver the weapons to the pirates. Malo and his men knock Gregg over the head with a crowbar. Malo sends the incapacitated Gregg away and takes the weapons to Corso himself. Gregg escapes his bonds and beats Malo’s men. He flies to Corso, telling the Corso Security Service of Malo’s plans. Gregg meets the smuggler’s ship with a Corso Security squad. They arrest Malo. Walters reinstates Gregg’s pilot’s license. Thura and Gregg make amends. In a second adventure titled “Action on Uranus”, three masked men rob the Inter-Planetary Trade Bank. They abscond with 1,000,000 universal credits, also grabbing Lance’s paramour Thura in their escape. They make a mad dash for Uranus to hide out. Lance pursues relentlessly, pausing only long enough to retrieve Thura when the thugs dump her in space to die. Catching up to them, he climbs aboard their ship. He makes short work of them with his fists, and his duties are complete.
