Jason Croft was a fairly well-off student of the occult. He sensed his soulmate was out there, on a planet revolving around Sirius, in a system of planets also known as the Dog Star Pack. Using astral projection to travel to Sirius, he discovers, on a planet called Palos, his spiritual twin, Princess Naia. Naia is the daughter of Prince Lakkon, advisor to the King of Aphur. Croft finds he cannot communicate or interact effectively in his ethereal, astral-projected form. After some seeking, he comes across a suitable host, a young man named Jasor who is quickly falling into despair, leading to his eventual demise. Moments after Jasor passes away, Croft takes over Jasor’s abandoned body. Moving about the land of Aphur, Croft finds that the Aphurians worship a god named Zitu. Meeting Lakkon and Naia, Croft offers to build machines unknown to them. Croft returns to his earthly form to study engine design, then returns to Palos and builds a type of automobile. Croft decides to inhabit the form of Jasor on Palos indefinitely. Powers and Abilities: Jason Croft’s most remarkable power is astral projection. While doing so he can listen in on conversations undetected and “scout” buildings or areas. He is well read in many areas, and is quite an inventor, albeit based on the designs of earthly constructs.
