During World War II, Jane Martin was a daring war nurse, who was willing to venture into dangerous territory to help save American soldiers. Eventually the military recognized her skills and courage and she became more of a spy than a nurse. After the war, she became a demonstration pilot, and later a reporter for the Daily Star, and then the Daily Blade, under City Editor Mike Q. O’Rourke. Jane was a skilled healer, an ace pilot, a competent reporter, and a scrappy and resourceful fighter. She was comfortable wielding firearms, though she rarely did. She was cool and collected in extremely dangerous situations and had a knack for getting into trouble.
