Canadian trappers, led by John Wilder, capture a abnormally large and vicious timber wolf. Pierre, one of the trappers, is killed. Wilder’s wife Barbara is convinced the timber wolf is Jacques Laughter, a missing logger, now a werewolf. It turns out she’s correct. Aboard a ship, the wolf attacks Barbara. She survives. The wolf is shipped to a West Coast zoo. It goes on a murderous rampage at night. Somehow, it makes it back to Wilder’s home, attacks Barbara again, and is finally killed by Wilder.
