Centuries ago, a legendary warrior called “Iron Ace” fought by Charlemagne’s side for France. When Iron Ace died, Charlemagne predicted that he would return as “the champion of freedom.” During World War Two, Captain Robert Britain, a British pilot, is shot down over France and forced to hide in the castle of Dr. LaFarge. LaFarge is the leader of a resistance group, but the Germans track him down and shoot him. Captain Britain puts on the old armor (still in perfect shape) of the Iron Ace, and kills the Germans with the Iron Ace’s sword. Iron Ace then makes himself a plane, and, still wearing the Ace’s plate armor, takes to the skies, shooting down a large number of enemies. Iron Ace battled a number of Nazi supervillains, including Black Mail, the Rubberman, an evil version of Thor, and Pluto of Hades. Iron Ace has no super powers, but like his plane, is so heavily armored that he’s bullet-proof. In addition to being a flying ace, he was also a skilled fighter, swordsman, and archer.
