Jane Walters was a private in the US Army who was assigned to work at a secret atomic research laboratory, in a forest region somewhere in the Western United States, near fictional Corwin City. One of her friends there was Pvt. Miller. Jane was brave, athletic and a reasonably good fighter, thanks to her basic training. She was also skilled with communications gear, Geiger counters, and other equipment. However, in her published adventures, she was never shown traveling beyond the United States or using a weapon.
