Geesha was one of the love-interests of Jo-Jo the Congo King. Many claim the character Tonda was a re-colored, re-printed, and re-named version of Gwenna, Geesha, Yolda, Safra, and Tanee. However, Tonda debuted the year prior. All characters looked identical, spent much of their time tied up, had different (though, very similar) origins, and were re-colored, re-printed, and re-named as both Mioa and Lura… and continuing on with the nonsense regarding mates for this guy… Lura became Laura. Along with Yolda and Safra, Gweena and Geesha also enjoy the unusual distinction of having been replaced or renamed as a separate character in the exact same issue in which they debuted!
