The man known as Future Man is actually an average citizen of the year 3000, where crime appears to have been abolished. As a form of escapism from his terrible marriage, he idolized 1940s crime books and movies, including footage of Moon Girl. Finally acting on his fantasy, he travels back to 1949 and attempts to kidnap and marry Moon Girl using advanced technology. Despite several failures, he does eventually subdue Moon Girl, only to be foiled by his wife, who comes back in time strictly to hypnotize him and demean him some more.
