The Ferret was the Hangman’s deadliest foe. Notes: Although his introductory panel described him as “the Hangman’s deadliest foe”, that can’t be true, as they had never met prior and it’s the Hangman who throws the Ferret off a cliff and leaves him for dead (though he managed to grab hold of a tree branch and climb back up to cause more trouble later in the story), and the Ferret only appeared this one time. The Hangman even had other enemies who were responsible for the murder of his brother, which would clearly make them much “deadlier.” This description was also used for the Rabbit the year prior.
