An American engineer discovered oil in the Santar region, but he is taken advantage of by a nefarious Egyptian pasha who capitalized on his lack of knowledge of the region and drove the Santar tribe off their land. However, the chief’s son, Jahn, becomes the masked hero, El Kuraan. He succeeded in leading his people to take their land back from the villainous Pasha. While El Kuraan had no super powers, he was a skilled horseman and fighter.
