Rujon and Dzartz rob the Staritania of a trillion dollars worth of gold, intended to “establish the currency of outer planets!” as Rujon says. The planet Juno, situated between Mars and Jupiter, is far smaller than the Earth. This makes the gold lighter than on Earth, and quite easy for the pair to handle. Their “Space Chaser” craft can easily outpace the pursuit by slower starships. Stella Dawn catches the robbers in the act, but Rujon captures her. The pair escape with their booty in their Space Chaser, The Zodia. They intend to pack Stella in a box previously occupied by the gold. While they are doing so, Jim Jones of the Space Rangers exits one of the boxes with his pistol. He holds them while Stella pries open a box containing Bob Barry. The group flashes their position to Commodore Rex Clive on the flagship. Some of the crew from the Zodiac attack Space Rangers Barry and Jones, but the pair knock them out by throwing the large gold ingots. The gold and the robbers are delivered to the Space Rangers in crates.
