Jim Andrews, a research scientist, is caught between two giant electrodes while conducting an experiment. The accident gives him the power to control electricity, using it to create force fields, shoot bolts of electricity from his hands, or fly through the air. He must recharge occasionally by holding onto an electrical source. Jim puts on a helmet and cape to fight crime, first calling himself Electro, and then Dynamo.
