The Devil of the Deep was said to haunt an area of the South Seas. Rumors prove to be true when a native diver is killed by the beast. Diver Dave Dean, while searching for pearls by a shipwreck, had his air-line cut by the strange fish-man. Dave goes back down, fights the devil and stabs him. While the creature was pulled to the surface, Dave investigated the wreck and discovered that it was deliberately sunk to hide a murder. Once he surfaced, the devil was revealed to be debonair Philip, who had killed his cousin and sunk his ship to get his fortune.
