As a child, Robert Larson’s face was mutilated by an explosion in a grocery caused by criminals. His disfigurement leads him to become the crime fighter the Defender. He was assisted by Lucky and J. Samuel Drew. He wore a special plastic mask that both hid his scars and could be molded to take on any appearance, turning him into a master of disguise. Robert was also a master scientist, detective, and hypnotist.
