Cormelian

Cormelian is the wife of the giant, Cormoran. According to legend, she resided with him in a cave, on the small island of St. Michael’s Mount just off the shore of southern England. She was killed when Cormoran asked another giant to throw him a hammer during the construction of their home on the island, and the hammer hit Cormelian in the head. It is possible that Cormoran is the giant from the story Jack and the Beanstalk. This giant lived in a castle in the clouds with his wife, who is often depicted as sympathetic to young Jack.
