Jonathan Simms was an innocent man who was sent to jail for 20 years. During his time in prison, he perfected how to make deadly clocks and plotted his revenge. Once freed, he mailed his clocks to the three men who had set him up. During his killing spree he also kidnapped Thelma Gordon. Ironically, John was chased up a clock tower, where he fought the Hangman and then fell to his death.
