William Battle was the son of the famous war hero, Captain Battle. Captain Battle Jr. fought Nazis as an aviator in WWII and even saved his father from being a Nazi prisoner of war. He had no powers but was a skilled pilot and fighter. He should not be confused with Captain Battle’s sidekick, Nathan Hale, whose costume looks very similar.
