Merlin, the Boy Magician was a simple stage performer who used illusions rather than true magic. He was an expert at ventriloquism and pulling things out of his sleeves, such as a flock of doves. However, it was eventually revealed that he was a descendant of the original Merlin, and when he gained possession of a magic medallion once worn by Merlin, he gained access to nearly unlimited power. Merlin was helped by his friend Pancho, and faced off against his nemesis Professor Morgan Le Faye, who wanted the medallion for himself.
